Media: 5th October

Last week we learnt about Countinuity, 180 Degree Rules, Shot Reverse Shot and Match on Action.
Continuity
This is an example of a bad continuity of Harry Potter!
Continuity is important when filming to unsure that scenes flow and make sense and the characters, actors, props ect are where they should be and don't look different

For example; When filming a scene the main character is wearing a black T-shit and all of the sudden he's wearing purple-that's terrible countinuity!

180 Degree Rule
File:180 degree rule.svgThis is just an example of how 180 degree works!
180 degree is when filming scenes and the actors stay in the position from which they are being filmed. The camera does not change position because then scene would be reversed and it could lead to confusion. This can be very disorientating for the audience.

Shot Reverse Shot
This is also an example of how shot reverse shot looks like!
Shot reverse shot is used for dialogue scenes, usually between two people (sometimes more) the shots will switch, depending upon who is speaking and their reactions (face expression). This allow an audience to feel a sense of participation in the conversation.

Match on Action
Example of matching on action - the camera is following her hand as she opens the door!
Matching the action within a scene. This can involve long shotsas well as close ups (when just the head and shoulders are shown) and extreme close ups (when only concentrating in one thing) and will involve the camera being used in several different positions.
Editing is vitally importanti in giving contunuity when matching the action.

Designing my blog

Well, on the 28th of September Mr Campbell wasn't in school because he had to go on a trip with the year 9's, so I must admit that I didn't do much on my blog but I designed my blog which I think it looks pretty cool.
